Beta licence terms
Plain-language terms for the LogMotif desktop app (v0.2.0) and the LogMotif attach SDK. Last updated 31 July 2026.
1. Who these terms are with
LogMotif is provided by Nilesh Jahagirdar ("we", "us"), an individual developer. By downloading, installing, or using LogMotif you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install it.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use LogMotif and the attach SDK, for any purpose including commercial work, free of charge, for the duration of the beta.
You may not:
- redistribute, resell, or sublicense the application binary;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, except where that restriction is unenforceable under the law that applies to you;
- remove or alter the branding or attribution.
We retain all intellectual property rights in LogMotif. You retain everything you create with it — your agents, prompts, traces, and exports are yours, and we never receive a copy of them.
3. This is beta software
LogMotif is version 0.2.0 and is explicitly incomplete. It may lose data, produce incorrect results, change behaviour between releases, or stop working. In particular, the "prove-the-fix" verdict is a heuristic signal, not a proof, and must not be relied on as the sole basis for a decision about whether code is correct.
Keep your own backups of anything you care about. Traces live only on your machine, so if you delete them, they are gone.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the agents you run and for any charges they incur with model and tool providers. LogMotif can issue calls using keys you configure — including via the unauthenticated local attach listener described in the security notes, which you should read before enabling live mode.
- You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Tavily, and others) that you connect.
- You must not use LogMotif to break the law or to process data you have no right to process.
5. No warranty
LogMotif is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of LogMotif — including provider costs incurred by agents you run.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for LogMotif, which during the beta is zero.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
7. Support
Support is best-effort and founder-led, by email at hello@catalistclub.com. There is no service level agreement, guaranteed response time, or uptime commitment during the beta.
8. Changes and termination
We may change these terms; the "last updated" date will change and the new version will be published here before it takes effect. Continuing to use LogMotif after that constitutes acceptance.
We may end the beta or stop distributing LogMotif at any time. You may stop using it at any time — see the privacy page for how to remove it and its data completely.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
